The Piano Tuner *Edf

Niki White, a young piano tuner, has an extremely sensitive ear that alerts him to even the slightest discrepancies whenever a piano is out of tune—but at the same time, it overwhelms him. Together with his mentor, Harry Horowitz, he travels from job to job throughout New York, where they tune instruments in apartments, rehearsal spaces, and concert halls. An encounter with Ruthie, a composition student, opens up new perspectives for Niki. When shady characters realize that his sense of hearing can also reveal combination locks, he finds himself caught up in dangerous circles and must decide whom he can trust—and what he wants to use his talent for.
