Hike to the Oberstdorf Viewing Platform with Max

Max takes you on one of his favorite walks around Oberstdorf—relaxing, varied, and ending with one of the region’s most beautiful panoramic views. We set off right from the hotel. Our first stop: the three Loreto chapels, which sit so picturesquely along the trail that you almost forget to keep going. A gentle climb then takes us up to the Moorweiher—a tranquil natural pond in the middle of a forest and moorland, perfect for a short break.

Afterward, we head down into the Trettachtal valley, following the river through a peaceful mountain forest—until the view suddenly opens up: Oberstdorf, the Allgäu High Alps—all at once. The Kühberg truly lives up to its name. The return trip goes however your legs feel like it—Max knows several routes.
