Halslspitz and Rastkogel lakes

We take a cab from Lanersbach to the Geiselalm (1,996 m), a rustic mountain pasture at the back of this beautiful valley basin. From here we hike to the Geiseljoch with a short detour towards the Nafingalm, where the mountain trail towards the Halslspitze (2,574 m) begins. After a rest at the panoramic summit, we head over the Nurpensjoch to the idyllic Rastkogel lakes. From here, the hiking trail leads us back to the Geiselalm. As the partial solar eclipse can be seen particularly well from the Halslspitze, we will be doing a special tour with special binoculars for this special event on August 12. Please bring a headlamp, warm clothing and drinks for the solar eclipse!

Character: difficult hike on mountain trails (900 m elevation gain over 9 km)

Duration: approx. 7.5 hours; of which 5.5 hours are pure walking time

Meeting point: 17.7. | 31.7. | 12.8. at 06.30 am at the Tux-Center in Tux-Lanersbach; Solar eclipse tour on 12.8. at 4.00 pm at the Tux-Center

Cost contribution: adults € 15.00 (free for guests of nature park partner businesses) excl. € 24.00 cab fare to the Geiselalm there & back
