Podrobnosti

On August 12, 2026, a very special celestial spectacle awaits us in the Canary Islands.

While the solar eclipse will be visible as a total eclipse on the Spanish mainland, here we’ll experience it as a partial eclipse with up to 74% coverage —which will be particularly impressive on Fuerteventura.

The magic of it all: The peak of the eclipse coincides exactly with sunset, when the sun is already low on the horizon. With an unobstructed view to the west, the sun will then appear as a narrow, glowing crescent, while the light becomes softer, warmer, and almost surreal.

This creates a rare, almost poetic atmosphere in which the sky, light, and landscape merge in a very special way.
