Adventures in Schneeberg

Full-Day Tour: Experience the former Schneeberg mining area on an impressive guided tour through the museum, the tunnels, and a ride on the mine train

The tour starts at the Schneeberg Bridge and offers a moderately difficult but rewarding hike through impressive mining and Alpine landscapes.

Tour itinerary:

• Ascent to the former Schneeberg mining area (now a mountain hut and museum)

• Tour of the museum

• Lunch break with dining options at the Schneeberg mountain hut (not included in the price)

• Ascent to the Schneebergscharte

• Descent to the Poschhausstollen

• 3.5 km ride on the mine train

• 2.5 km walk underground through the historic Karlstollen

• Descent back to the starting point

Return: approx. 6:50 p.m. at the Schneeberg Bridge

Walking time: approx. 7 hours (round trip) | Elevation gain: approx. 1,100 m
