Details

At the Miara ski area in San Vigilio, the road leads up to the Riff'a Sky & Sky winter restaurant. From there take the forest road to the left and after approx. 300 metres turn right onto path #12 towards the east. The narrow path leads through the forest at the beginning, then clears as you enter the Fojedöra valley. Below the peaks Piz da Peres, 2507 m and Dreifingerspitze, 2479 m you hike about 3 kilometres somewhat steeper until you reach the Joch Sumamunt. From there, turn left via path #3 over to the idyllic Hochalpsee, or straight on via the road to the Fojedöra-Alm. This exemplary alp is well worth a stop! The path to the Braies Valley goes down between the 3 huts via trail #19. Approx. 2 km somewhat steep, therefore sticks are highly recommended! Arriving at the wooden hut "Alt Kaser", the forest path leads pleasantly flat through the Grünwaldtal valley out to the very popular and well-visited jewel Pragser Wildsee lake. On the northern shore, where the historic hotel stands, there is a bus stop from which a bus leaves several times an hour. Just before the bus stop by the kiosk, trail #1 Vial Alpina leads east from the stream out into the Braies Valley. Distance: 15 km to the Pragser Wildsee lake Duration: approx. 5:30 h Meters in altitude ascent: 866 Hm Height difference descent: 620 Hm
