Hike to the Ohrnknott

Helpful facts

We take the hotel bus to the valley station of the Texelbahn cable car in Parcines/Partschins. The cable car takes us up to the starting point of our hike. We warm up on the Merano High Mountain Trail to be prepared for the steep climb up to the Ohrnknott. The path initially leads through forest, later through open terrain. However, the panorama we can enjoy on this summit is worth every drop of sweat. In fine weather, the Dolomites seem close enough to touch, but the Königsspitze and Ortler also greet us majestically from afar. After a rest on the summit, we hike back to the Texelbahn cable car, which takes us back down to the valley.

Ascent/descent: 850 m each

Equipment: hiking boots, weatherproof clothing, hiking poles are recommended, drinks and provisions for on the way (we take a break at the summit)
