Feldthurns

Leitach Coste, 46, Chiusa
The chestnut characterizes the cultural landscape in Feldthurns like hardly any other plant. Around 3,300 chestnut trees line the village and have become an important part of the various economic sectors in recent years.
Since 1997, the chestnut tree in Feldthurns has been the occasion for a large festive event with guided tours, visits, tastings, concerts and the Niglsunntig, which has become an integral part of the Feldthurns festival calendar and on which the Feldthurns associations offer chestnut-related delicacies.
From mid-October to the beginning of November, the Keschtnigl Weeks take place in Feldthurns under the slogan "Chestnut delights from the rural kitchen and wine cellar at Törggele time".
A diverse supporting program is offered, such as "Kastanie am Keschtnweg", Kastanienland, Kastanienbraten erleben, Kinderkeschtnwanderung, Genusswanderungen and much more. Highlights include the Niglmarkt, the Keschtnigl-Sunntig and the "Keschtn Kerner" vertical tasting.
