The waterfall trail in Stilluptal is a great, easy hike with a unique nature experience. By car, you drive past the toll station behind the Ahornbahn cable car (10 euros / car) to Gasthaus Wasserfall. From there, the easy and well-maintained waterfall trail starts into the valley. You hike along the turquoise-blue reservoir and admire countless waterfalls on both sides of the valley. At the end of the lake, you continue along the "Stilluppe" to the StillupperHaus and on to the Grüne Wand Hütte and back along the same route. A total hiking distance of approx. 15 km. If you are not good on foot, you can also simply take the Stillupper Taxi for one or more sections or just hike to the StillupperHaus.
From June 13, the Kasseler Hütte at the end of the valley will also be open. Of course, you can also take a bike (or Stillupper Taxi) to the Grüne Wand Hütte and then hike up to the Kasseler Hütte in around 1.5 hours. The path is not quite as easy, but the view of the glacier at the top is priceless. We wish you a great hike in Stilluptal. You can find more information here.
