5 Lakes Hike

Description

At 1,650 meters, the Tauplitzalm is the highest lake plateau in Central Europe. The “6-Lakes Hike”—during which we’ll pass by 5 lakes—leads to the highest lake plateau in the Northern Limestone Alps.

We’ll travel in an 8-passenger bus (or in our own cars if there are 9 or more people) along a well-maintained, paved, winding road to the Tauplitzalm (1,650 m). From there, we’ll explore the plateau via footpaths off the beaten track, away from the marked trails.
