AMRAI is taking you on the Aquaweg today. This is an interesting themed trail on which you will learn at several stations that the water reservoirs in the Montafon are well filled, which is a blessing for the generation of energy from hydropower. Discover our elixir of life, water, in the village fountain in Tschagguns, look for a hidden sulphur spring and listen to the roar of untamed torrents, while the small and large reservoirs are somewhat quieter. The Aquaweg is signposted with information boards to quench your thirst for knowledge. Be curious, like a bulging water bomb, what interesting stories the Aquaweg has in store for you. There's a world-class panorama to boot.

The starting point for the hike is Latschau. Follow the signpost in the direction of Bitschweil, the path takes you a short distance in the direction of Gauertal. After a short climb, there is a small bridge over the Golmerbach stream. Then you pass the water-powered sawmill of the "Mülli Ferdi" and, passing the Rasafeibach and Ziegerberg, you reach the Bitschweil reservoir via the sulphur and leather spring. Here you can take a break at the "Jausenstation Bitschweil". Now it's just a short leap up the slope and you've reached the old schoolhouse. Although you can't visit it, it's still worth taking a look through the windows. Return along the same path to the junction with Schluchtweg. Follow the signpost back towards Latschau. Here, by the way, you can visit the "Vorarlberger Illwerke" showroom to see how energy is generated using hydropower. The "Alpine Coaster Golm" and the "Waldseilpark Golm" with the Flying Fox are also located at the reservoir.
