On this impressive ranger-led hike, you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Venediger region. You’ll immerse yourself in the sustainably managed outer zone of the Hohe Tauern National Park and discover how closely nature and traditional land use are intertwined here.
How are the alpine meadows maintained and managed? And why is biodiversity in the managed outer zone often significantly higher than in the untouched core zone? Around the Steineralmen, you’ll gain fascinating insights into the preservation of a unique cultural landscape—shaped by past generations and kept alive to this day.
The two alpine pastures also invite you to enjoy a delicious break on their sunny terraces with traditional dishes.
