Cancano Lakes Tour

Start / Finish: Torri di Fraele (Valdidentro)

Nestled in the Stelvio National Park, the Cancano Lakes tour is ideal for the whole family, providing no special difficulties and having little elevation gain. Starting from the medieval Fraele Towers, the trail runs along the left side of Lake Cancano and includes a complete bypass of Lake St. James. The dams were built in the 1940s and 1950s and are still intended for hydroelectric power generation.
