Piano Recital—Works by Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, and Rachmaninoff
The renowned pianist Johannes Gaechter will once again be performing in the Oberallgäu region in the spring of 2027.
With a varied program, he spans the musical spectrum from the Classical and Romantic periods to the impressionistic soundscapes of the early 20th century.
The concert opens with Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Sonata, Op. 101, which is also on the program to mark the 200th anniversary of his death. This is followed by a work by Frédéric Chopin.
The second half of the concert delves into the colorful soundscapes of Impressionism and late Russian Romanticism with Claude Debussy’s *Images* and a selection from Sergei Rachmaninoff’s *Études-Tableaux*.
Johannes Gaechter discovered his love for playing the piano at the age of four. Since then, he has been particularly fascinated by challenging works and their emotional expressiveness. In addition to numerous concerts in Germany, his performances have taken him to Paris, Strasbourg, Shanghai, and Cape Town, among other places. He has also enjoyed success at international piano competitions in Paris, St. Petersburg, and Warsaw.
The audience can look forward to a diverse piano recital that combines grand musical forms, poetic timbres, and virtuosic expressiveness.
