The moor experience Wasenmoos, offers young and old an intense encounter with nature: whether on leisurely moor trails, whether on longer hiking trails, whether in the viewing pavilion with a magnificent panorama of the Hohe Tauern National Park - an amazement without end!

Along the way, 15 information boards provide interesting facts about the fauna and flora of the Wasenmoos, the historical peat cutting, the renaturation measures, and much more...

The unique wetland, at an altitude of 1200-1220m, is crossed by numerous drainage ditches. It is characterized by a very idyllic landscape with rare plant and animal species. For example, all three of Austria's native "carnivorous plants" can be found here: sundew, butterwort and water hose.
