Sassello Church tells its story: a Songbook to make it sing again!

"It's me, the Church of Sassello. I am old, I am 627 years old, and I feel that I need you. My body is crumbling, my frescoes are fading. But I don't want to give up! I need medicine to

rebuild myself.

They dedicated a song to me last year that in one passage says, "al pret in gesa al canta più" (the priest doesn't sing in church anymore). Well, that's right: my voice is fading. But if we can't sing inside me, let's sing then outdoors, under the skies of our valleys!

I thought of making a Songbook, a bridge to unite us all. Music has the power to make us feel part of something bigger, to rekindle the spirit of community that sets us apart."

The Church of Sassello tells its story: a Songbook to make it sing again! is a project that consists of 4 unmissable evenings to give new voice to the Church of Sassello and support our community.
