Aerial yoga is a special form of yoga. A fabric suspended from the ceiling supports the practice and allows you to experience the asanas differently: lighter, more challenging, or weightless. The highlight of every aerial yoga class is flying. We leave the stable ground behind and let ourselves be carried by the gently swaying fabric.
Yoga with the fabric is a great enrichment for all practitioners—regardless of mobility or yoga experience. For some people, aerial yoga poses health risks: it is strongly discouraged during pregnancy, in cases of acute herniated discs, extreme obesity, and eye conditions. Aerial yoga is available for those ages 14 and older. Participation for children under 14 is possible upon request.
For aerial yoga, form-fitting yoga clothing (the top should have short sleeves) and socks are best. Jewelry and makeup can damage the fabric and are best left in your room—that way, nothing stands in the way of a soothing practice. Let’s fly together!
