Animal area

Warfthof Wollatz Katinka & York Wollatz
Please take our guidelines for the protection of our animals seriously and discuss them with your children!
We can only maintain this offer if it is guaranteed that animal welfare is our top priority!
Rabbits
The rabbit hutch is divided into two areas, the left side is the resting area and must not be entered, this is where the rabbits should find their retreat. The right-hand side of the hutch is the petting area. You are welcome to enter this half of the hutch.
Here you can be close to the rabbits, stroke them carefully or gently take them on your lap.
Once the rabbits have had enough stroking, give them the opportunity to hop back into their resting area.
We ask that children up to the age of 8 are only allowed in the enclosure when accompanied by an adult. The children need support in handling the animals.
Please leave the food bowls in their places!
You are welcome to feed the rodents with greens and carrots.
Goats Uschi, Liese & Lotte with Lui
You are welcome to climb into the enclosure with the goats (maximum 2 children at the same time), they are well-behaved, do not box and are happy to be stroked.
Please do not feed our goats, we have already had cases of illness and death due to incorrect feeding.
We give you the opportunity to feed the goats under our supervision at the weekly animal feeding session.
Mini pigs Bürste & Borsti
Our mini pigs are also happy to be stroked, they like to come to you at the front of the gate and you can scratch their heads. In the evening, they always build their straw bed and hide under the pile of straw in the barn.
Please refrain from climbing into the enclosure, as the pigs may defend their territory.
The mini pigs are happy to be fed with vegetable scraps, but they do not like onions, peppers or fennel.
Be careful, pigs have sharp teeth!
Sheep family
Our four Ouessant sheep also like to be stroked and are very approachable.
You are welcome to climb into these stables to get close to the sheep.
Please don't feed our sheep!
You have the chance to give our sheep treats during the animal feeding session!
In the summer months, you'll find the sheep family in the meadow behind the stables.
Chickens
Our chickens like to escape, even if they're only supposed to be in their enclosure or coop. Unfortunately, they also lay their eggs in the most unlikely places.
Please only collect eggs from the official hen's nest with the brown flap!
If you find eggs outside this nest, please do not put them in the egg cartons under any circumstances! They may be old, hatched or rotten and must not be sold!!!
You are welcome to try them for your own consumption!
Alpacas Tiffi & Ohbär
The good news first: The alpacas don't spit!
Alpacas don't like to be touched on the face, so please stroke them on the neck and body.
Please only stroke them and do not feed them. Otherwise they will get sick!
On an alpaca walk, we will give you species-appropriate snacks for the two of them.
Horses & ponies
Please refrain from feeding the horses. Not even with grass!
We only feed our ponies and horses ourselves!
Horses can bite off fingers without any problems, get used to bad habits like begging and can get sick if they get too much or the wrong food.
Quails
The quails like to hide under the straw, so we ask you to only watch them from the outside. We want to make sure that no one accidentally steps on them or they escape.
They only eat their special laying feed, which we give the quails in the morning during the animal feeding round.
We'll be happy to help you find the eggs and give you an egg to try!
Donkey Piet
Like the ponies, please don't feed Piet either!
You can give Piet a treat or a carrot during the animal feeding session.
