High mountain chapel in Zillergrund

Into the realm of the ibex and 3,000 m

Our tour starts in Bärenbad and takes us directly to the "King of the Mountains". In the ibex worlds, we learn more about the exciting history of these fascinating animals and can also observe real ibexes in the enclosure. There is currently a population of around 80-90 animals in the wild in the Zillertal Alps. We then hike past the Zillergründl reservoir to the picturesque high mountain chapel (2,275 m), which is dedicated to St. Valentine. As a reward for the steep ascent, a magnificent view of the wild, glaciated mountain world of the Reichenspitz group awaits us. After a refreshment stop at Gasthaus Adlerblick, we take the bus back to Mayrhofen from Speicher Zillergründl.
