At the entrance to the Obersulzbachtal valley, the Blausee lake is nestled in a forest niche. The impressive blue-turquoise-green lake in the nature reserve is surrounded by a picturesque forest with spruce, fir, larch and alder trees.
The small lake in the Hohe Tauern National Park was created around 100 years ago and is now used as a local recreation area. There are recreation areas, seating areas with tables, fire pits and toilets for visitors. Here you can relax in the middle of untouched nature and daydream - the Blausee is a place of energy!
Way description:
The starting point for this short and beautiful hike is Gasthof Siggen. Pass the Siggen Chapel and after 1 - 2 hairpin bends you will reach the Blausee lake.
There is a path around the Blausee lake with information boards that provide information about the natural features.
