Unique panoramic views over the valley, this is also where the historical roots of the Montafon settlement history lie.
The early mass house in Bartholomäberg, which has existed since 1657, has served as a museum since June 2009 and enriches the village center as an outstanding architectural and historical monument. For centuries, the early mass house was the second priest in the village and was responsible for reading the early mass, among other things. The special feature of the early mass house on Bartholomäberg is its location with its unique panoramic view over the valley. This is also where the historical roots of the Montafon settlement history lie and for a long time Bartholomäberg was the main town in the valley. The museum showcases the baroque building culture of the region. The outstanding architecture of the early Baroque building and masterpieces of Baroque furniture create an atmospheric setting for exhibitions on the cultural history of the Montafon and the exciting history of the local community of Bartholomäberg. The special exhibitions refer to the local area but also to the main themes shown in the other Montafon museums.
