You start the hike at the train station St. Johann, where you can park the car for free at the Park & Ride.
At the station, take the underpass under the platforms to the other side of the tracks. Once here, follow Reinbachstraße south. After the Hotel Hubertusstube, turn right into Wieshofgasse, where you can safely walk under the B311 highway through the underpass. After the underpass, follow the sidewalk along the B311 to the other side of the creek towards the Jet gas station, here follow Hedeggweg uphill to the right. After you have passed the settlement, continue uphill following Hedeggweg. Since there is little traffic on this road, we find it quite suitable for a leisurely winter hike.On your way through the beautiful natural landscape with a magnificent view of St. Johann, follow the road to its end the Hedegg farm. Back you follow the same path.
Don't forget to bring enough liquid (tea, water) and maybe a change of clothes!
