Way description:
You start at the "Grüner Baum" in Kötschachtal in Bad Gastein. There are plenty of parking spaces available. At the beginning, the route takes you leisurely through the car-free valley along the stream on a forest road. After half an hour, turn right across the stream. From here it is a fairly steep 2-hour hike to Reedsee. Once you reach the top, you will be rewarded for your efforts. Reedsee is in a very idyllic location, surrounded by mountain peaks that are reflected in the lake. There is no hut on the mountain, but a picnic by the lake is an unforgettable nature experience. Take your time and enjoy the peace and quiet by the lake. Return via the same route. There is also a nice place to stop for refreshments almost at the end of the hike.
